Why is this ONLY available through HSN?
I NEVER purchase anything from television. I think that it's unfair to those who do not have credit cards or aren't TV addicts that this machine is only available through this venue. I am sorely disappointed, as I was planning on purchasing this machine.

I used to feel the same about HSN. I love them now! My mom and I have purchased 9 or ten machines and a serger now through HSN. They send flyers or you can check online when Singer will be on-no watching T.V. 24/7 needed. They have great payment plans with no interest too. Order online or on the phone. (no sales tax online) I think they take checks over the phone too, don't quote me though. They have lots of payment options and my credit kinda stinks. You also cannot beat the VALUE ADDED accessories. I saved 400.00 just on serger stuff, no lie. Try it you might like it, no credit card needed and a direct singer customer service line after purchase. I know-I've used it a bunch.

The external housing of the sewing machine (including the L-500) is plastic. The internal frame that keeps the machine stable is metal.

Hello, This machine is available on HSN for a limited time. It is being sold on a limited basis for appx a year or so. But you have to hurry, this machine keeps on selling out at HSN.

Hi! I'm really interested in the Singer 160, but curious if a sewing table or a cabinet will be available for purchase. If not, is there one you'd recommend? I really want the machine to sit into a table/cabinet, so it's completely smooth when I sew. Thanks in advance!
